“Securing this feature was a strategic decision to get potential travelers energized about St. Kitts by showing them attractions and activities they likely didn’t know existed but which contribute to making the island unique and distinguishing it from other destinations in the Caribbean and throughout the globe,” said Ms. Racquel Brown, CEO of the St. Kitts Tourism Authority. “These tucked away ‘gems’ are especially relevant now as travelers are seeking uncrowded places where they can feel at ease going beyond popular tourist sites. By experiencing our nature, culture, history, traditions and people, they can form a more meaningful connection with the island in ways that will create lasting memories.”

The St. Kitts “Hidden Gems” website video feature takes viewers off the beaten tourist track and goes on a deeper expedition to uncover what makes the island the quintessential Caribbean experience – it is uncrowded and authentic with a naturally beautiful landscape, steeped in history and populated by genuinely friendly locals. Starting with a scenic drive up the coastline, Peter Greenberg highlights myriad unique sites and activities that truly showcase St. Kitts’ charm.

From the Brimstone Hill hot sauce factory where visitors can taste and help make the spicy yet delicious concoction to the historical wonders of the Wingfield Estate archaeological site once owned by the great-great-great grandfather of Thomas Jefferson, Peter Greenberg journeys into the heart of St. Kitts! He reveals hidden coves teeming with marine life and a casual roadside dinner-only restaurant that’s a favorite among locals where fisherman grill up their catch of fresh seafood from that day. Whether exploring the rainforest mountains on an ATV or snorkeling alongside a partly-submerged shipwreck, Peter brings the undiscovered treasures of St. Kitts vividly to life.
