DON’T QUIT – How to Stick with your Exercise Routine

Spring is in the air and we all want to get out and have fun, but don’t forgo your exercise routine.  Exercise is more than just for your body, it’s also great for your mental state and overall health.

It’s easy to want to skip a day, as you have been going all winter, and now want to show off that fabulous body, but don’t give into the temptation to skimp on your exercise program.

It’s good to plan your exercise each day so when you start you know what your goals are and you won’t feel like your just out there spinning your wheels, you are actually accomplishing something.

When deciding on an exercise program, don’t worry if you cannot afford a gym, the key is to keep it consistent.  If all you can do is walk around a track each day, do that, remember it’s the consistency that counts.  If you have no weight at home, use a 16oz can of vegetables to lift.  There are numerous exercises you can do that do not require a gym membership.  The key is to make a commitment to exercising.

Try fun things like skipping rope, jumping double dutch, kite flying, Chinese jump rope and other FREE and fun thing to do.  If you do these with your kids, it’s much more fun, what kid does not want a fit parent?  It will keep them active and away from social media for a few minutes (LOL)

You can also go on YouTube.com, they have so many exercise video you can do in the comfort of your home, no gym required.

Looking to stay fit during vacation?…. book a fitness vacation…… do something that will help your mind and body.

If you are elderly and not sure what to do, try something low intensity like walking or cycling.

Lastly, remember to drink plenty of WATER…………….

Also it’s fun to get a group together to work out, go to the park, make a day of exercise.
