Founder and CEO

Rochelle Rae is CEO and creator of Rae Cosmetics. She is an award-winning makeup artist with a degree in Fine Arts and has attended the prestigious Makeup Designory in Hollywood California.

A few years ago, Rae became frustrated with the heavy makeup prevalent in the market and the seemingly endless trips to the mirror to reapply. Her active lifestyle, as well as that of her clients, called for a longer lasting, more natural approach to cosmetics. This inspired her to create a line designed for real life and the active women who live it.

After two years of research, design and attention to every detail, Rochelle introduced Rae Cosmetics in the summer of 2005.  Rae delivers a fresh and versatile mineral makeup line designed for active women and athletes looking for performance as well as beauty from their cosmetics. Inspired by minerals and pigments that exist in nature, Rae Cosmetics were designed to work with all skin tones and types, even the most sensitive. A blend of clinical-grade nutrients and anti-oxidants repair and protect skin while non-chemical sunscreens and moisturizers guard against the sun’s damaging rays keeping skin healthy and radiant.

In 2009 and 2010 Rochelle was a finalist for Austinite of the Year Under 40 in Arts and Entertainment. Rochelle has won the “Award of Excellence” from the Association of Wedding & Events Coordinators, the “Award of Excellence for Make Up Artistry” from Austin Wedding Day Magazine, both the “Best Make Up Artist” and “Best in the Business of Beauty” awards from Austin Monthly Magazine and both “Best Make Up Artist” and “Best Group” at the Austin Fashion Awards.

Rochelle served as Director of Make Up for runway shows by top designers Zac Posen and Sergio Guadarrama (Celestino Couture) in Austin TX and New York.

Trusted by photographers, filmmakers, models, wedding coordinators, celebrities and fashion designers alike, Rochelle has earned a reputation as a premier makeup artist and beauty entrepreneur.

Awards

Rae Cosmetics has won “Best Beauty Product Award” from both Rare Magazine and The Austin

Chronicle and was the sole makeup sponsor of the 2009 New York Nolcha Fashion Week.

Price Range

Products range from $18 to $103 for the Bungalow Glow Bronzing Palette complete with seven shades to produce the perfect summer glow. Most cosmetics run in the $18 to $60 range including mascara, blush, eye shadow, lip products, concealers, our signature Climate Control tinted moisturizer and more.

Athlete Sponsorship

Rae Cosmetics partners with champion tri-athlete Desiree Ficker as her official cosmetics sponsor. Rae wanted to sponsor Ficker because of her impressive record and her ability to inspire women of all ages. “Our partnership is a perfect match.” Rochelle said. “She’s inspiring and beautiful– both inside and out– and we’re proud to be a part of her team.”

Non-profit Partnerships

CEO/founder Rochelle Rae has long been committed to community, frequently donating her products and services to organizations such as the American Cancer Society, March of Dimes, the American Heart Association’s “Go Red for Women” and Girlstart.  For Girlstart, an Austin non-profit created to educate and empower girls in science, technology, engineering and math, Rochelle created “Smartie” lip gloss, named for the program’s dedication to empowering and educating young women. For every tube sold, $5 goes to the non-profit organization.

Rae created a special new product, the “Little Red Dress Lip Kit,” to honor and support the nationally recognized campaign, “Go Red for Women.” Fifty percent of sales from each kit go directly to the American Heart Association of South Central Texas, helping to raise awareness as well as funds to fight the number one health-related killer of women.
